So, what marketing channels are being used by SME’s and what channels do they use the most?
Facebook is used by nearly 69.6% of respondents, and email marketing is used similarly by 64.1% of small businesses. Perhaps a little surprisingly, more small businesses use direct mail (52.4%) than Instagram (48.3%) or Twitter (47.0%).
What platform provided the biggest return for these SME’s over the past year?
Direct Mail (7845) and Email (7845) marketing scored highest as the biggest return of all the tactics implemented by these small businesses.
Having a direct connection with your target customer (on a personal level) is key to the success of your business. Not only will it increase your chances of winning new customer’s but it will also help you retain existing customers.
